Hi! My name is Aliyah Brathwaite. I am 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. Recently, I have been accepted into the People to People Student Ambassador Program. I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to take part in this trip! I have until July 10th, 2015 to raise $8,000 so please donate!! Thank you!
This program enables students willing to travel to foreign countries to fully immerse themselves into a different culture, and partake in adventurous activities designed to help them develop themselves as individuals.The People to People Student Ambassador Program also provides an advantage for me when pursuing future goals like being accepted into prestigious colleges.
Along with a multitude of opportunities, accompanied by this program is a substantially large fee to participate. Although I am doing the most I can to raise the money, like planning bake sales, applying for scholarships, and even sacrificing Christmas presents to pay for the trip, GoFundMe is my best shot at raising enough money for this opportunity of a lifetime. How many 15 year olds can say they went to study abroad in Europe!?
If I meet my financial goal, I will travel to five countries in Europe during the course of 20 days and I will participate in community service and obtain first hand experience in places I have only dreamt about visiting.
Due to financial limitations I have had to decline this opportunity three times previously. This will be my fourth time attempting to pursue this opportunity and my first time on GoFundMe. My parents do an amazing job providing for me the best they can despite any financial limitations. So, I am here asking for donations to support me in my journey to raise $8,000 for my educational trip to Europe to be a proud ambassador for the United States of America!
