Funding school laptops and broadband access

PLEASE HELP A UK CHILD TODAY TO ACCESS HOMELEARNING
We are in the midst of the Covid19 pandemic. Currently UK schools are overrun with students who cant afford the right equipment or broadband to undertake lessons at home. This means more students in school, more mixing and movement and greater chance of spreading Covid19.
It is madness that in an economy, as rich as the UK, the government can't provide the right equipment for students to learn. Students are either missing out completely or trying to complete coursework and lesson on phones, or sharing a single device with siblings over a poor and unstable connection
Every young person deserves the best chance to succeed and to have a choice at the end of their education. Unfortunately this just isn't the case. The social disadvantage divide continues to get bigger with society becoming even more fragmented between those who have and those who haven't.
HOWEVER THERE IS SOMETHING WE, YOU AND I, CAN DO ABOUT IT TODAY
I am an ex-secondary school headteacher and on Friday 8th January 2021 launched www.donatealaptop.co.uk which is a matching service between schools who need laptops and tablets and individuals and companies who have spares. However not everyone has a spare laptop or tablet, but they still want to help.
I have already been asked multiple times 'how can I donate a few quid to help out?'
Every single penny donated here will be passed directly to the most needy schools across the country, so they can buy equipment to support homelearning for the most disadvantaged kids, both now and in the future. This issue won't stop once the pandemic goes away, there will still be young people across the UK unable to do their homework or revise properly because they don't have access to the right, if any, equipment or broadband.
Schools will be invited to apply for funding and be assessed by need and social deprivation, the money will land in their bank accounts within a day or so, so they can get to work straight away. Evidence of new purchases/expense will be required and tracked.
As soon as we hit £5,000 I will open up the fund for schools to apply to.
