Study Abroad - Health Research

Donation protected
Hello. My name is Erwin Sirena, a first generation student attending Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC).

I was brought to this country at the age of 3 and although I have been living here for 22 years I am still considered an undocumented student. I have not returned or visited my birth country, Mexico, due to my immigration status in the U.S.

Luckily I have been given the opportunity to visit Mexico with advance parole through a study abroad course provided by CUNY but unfortunately I do not have the financial needs to cover the expenses of the trip, approximately $3,500.

I am reaching out to you for your help in order to meet this goal. It is not just an amazing opportunity that will allow me to visit my birth country but it will also help me understand the culture that I came from.

Also this is an opportunity to be part of a research project focusing on the health of the Mexican population in Puebla and by comparison it can help us understand some health problems in American society.
For more information on the research project you can visit this site.

I am extremely excited about this opportunity but I need your help to make it a reality.

I am grateful for your help.
