Hi, my name is Jennifer; I

I am from Fort Worth, Tx, and have worked in my community since 2007. I am a dancer who loves to put on for the community as the culture has saved my life and impacted other lives. I am the founder of Ladies With Flava. I am raising funds for the LWF Vol. 5 Jam. The movement started as a dance session to have a sacred space for female dancers to dance freely and exchange energy and passion for Hip Hop Culture. After a year passed, I decided to host our first-anniversary Jam and host a dance battle. This year will be Vol. 5 (5th event, technically the sixth anniversary), and I am looking to curate a bigger and better event with the help of your sponsorship/donation.

My work these past years was straight out of passion and out of my pocket. Thankfully, I was blessed to have Mesquite Arts Center sponsor their venue, allowing our community to showcase the culture. The budget is a general goal to have a successful event representing and spotlighting the culture, not only Hip Hop Culture but also Latin Culture, by bringing both street cultures together under one roof and creating an extraordinary event where Ladies can come together and have a platform to share their talent. I don't usually ask for help, but as an independent artist, using finances will make this event unforgettable and make it easier to delegate tasks. I typically wear a lot of hats, and being able to take the weight off my shoulders would make this more fun to do.

Ladies With Flava is all about uplifting the community and putting on for the Ladies while exhibiting the elements of both cultures, art & music, and empowering healing aspects to people who will find this event inspirational and give them an outlet to express their creativity, meet new people, and be a part of Herstory. Anything will help make this event one to remember. Thank you for your donation.
