My name is Sophie DeVeney, and I am the writer and director of my new capstone film, Can Grant Stay Over? My team and I have been working in a 3-semester-long class at Arizona State to produce this film, and shooting is coming up (October 24th and 25th).

I want to tell the story of a teenage boy coming to terms with his sexuality. It is a coming-of-age comedy that brings awareness about the struggles of coming out and accepting your own identity. Many queer stories have been told before, but never in this way with a humorous twist and lovable characters.

We need some funds to produce the film and do things as small as feed our crew on the shoot days. Any donation will help tremendously, after all, we're all just broke college students :)
