<div>My name is Enric Casacuberta, and I've set myself a challenge that goes far beyond sports. Inspired by the strength and legacy of movements like Ruta66xela, I've decided to run not just with my legs, but with my heart, to <strong>raise awareness of a reality that needs all our attention: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)</strong>.

<div><strong>The Challenge</strong>: Starting August 29th and continuing for five consecuitive months, I will take on the challenge of <strong>running Route 66</strong> in the United States during its centennial year. It will be tough, yes, but not as tough as the daily struggle of those who suffer from this degenerative disease and their families. They are my true motivation.

<div>Why am I doing this?
</div>
<div>ALS is a disease that currently has no cure and requires very expensive care and assistive devices. My goal with this GoFundMe is twofold:

<div>Raising awareness: So that no one feels alone in this battle.

<div>Fundraising: 100% of the net profits from this campaign will go directly to the spanish Miquel Valls ALS Foundation and its American counterpart, the ALS Foundation, to support research and assistance for patients and their families.
