Fund Raiser for Sherri Jensen

Sherri and Kenny's home was largely destroyed by fire this past Thursday night. Thankfully, Sherri, Kenny and Sherri's little grand daughter escaped the burning house, as did Sherri's fur babies.
Kenny suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation in the fire, and lost all his belongings. Kenny is a very hard working young man, in Grade 12 this year at GKNS. He plans to graduate in June 2018. To help him do so, his textbooks, binders etc need to be replaced immediately. 
The house is uninhabitable, and Sherri and her son Kenny are in immediate need of a place to live. While Sherri does have insurance, it could take months for her claim to be resolved.
I have known and admired Sherri for many years, as a generous, warm hearted, gutsy and brave woman who raised five kids on her own. She has quietly helped so many folks here on Haida Gwaii.
Sometimes even the gutsy and brave amungst us need help. This is such a time. Sherri and Kenny need money for their immediate needs, and for long term rebuilding of their home. Insurance will not cover it all, nor is it immediate.
