Fund Raiser for Cloud Davidson
I’ve put this GoFundMe effort together to show support for my friend Cloud Davidson. The funds raised in this effort will be used to help Cloud pay off the accumulating bills for his restaurants the Downward Dog and the Pig & Olive.
The mandatory shut down has been exceptionally difficult on the restaurant industry. Many restaurant owners looked eagerly towards the relief promised by the federal government only to have those hopes crushed. Many, if not most, have found that the help they so desperately need will not be coming.
Over the last 20 years Cloud has proven himself to be a leader and beloved icon of the Corvallis community. He has fostered the careers and business ventures of countless people in the restaurant industry. He has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for non-profit organizations by holding countless fundraisers and donating food or gift cards for just about any cause who comes through the door asking for his support. Additionally, Cloud is true patron of the local arts and is considered a cornerstone of the Corvallis music scene. Without his generosity there would be a noticeable cultural void. This is our opportunity to give back and show our gratitude. It’s also an insurance policy for the future of Corvallis. Whenever we’ve needed Cloud he was there with his support. Right now he needs us.
