We are requesting funding assistance to support students of Embry-Riddle in participating in the 2025 Bataan Memorial Death March at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico from 20 March – 23 March 2025. This event involves completing a 26.2-mile ruck march with a 35-pound rucksack within a 12-hour time limit, this event honors the sacrifices of those who endured the Bataan Death March during World War II, and our participation represents a profound opportunity to pay tribute to their legacy while fostering teamwork and resilience..

A total of 16 students will be attending the event, organized into 2 teams of 5 students and 6 individual competitors. Our training plan will consist of 10 weeks of preparation, training 6 days a week to build endurance and strength. The ultimate goal for this event is to have all participants finish in under 10 hours, with one team aiming to complete the march in under 7 hours.

We are seeking financial support of $750 to help cover lodging and registration fees for our team. These expenses are critical to enabling our team to participate fully and represent the values of our Air Force community with pride and honor.
