<div>Last Friday Nick was attacked by a dog that lives in our neighborhood. This is the second attack within a month and a half. The owner was suppose to have followed guidelines after the first attack, but obviously she did not. All Nick was trying to do was take our dogs out on a walk and the owner left her car door wide open left the dog unattended and went into her house, as Nick was walking he didn’t notice the dog in the car as he got closer to the car and it was too late. The dog attacked our male dog and his head was bit and has a big wound and swelling on his head, the dog then turned to Nick and attacked his arm ripping the muscles and tendons out of his arm on the top and bottom, also has to broken fingers with pins and wires in then. He had his first surgery and they closed him up, but then developed compartment syndrome which is super painful. He has had 4 surgeries already with a 5th one scheduled for Monday. He has a wound vac on, on lots of pain meds, has severe nerve damage and will need more surgeries and lots and lots of physical therapy. He could have permanent damage and we won’t know till down the road. The woman has been charged with 5 charges, but it will take time for court. The dog was put down. The women doesn’t have a lot to piss in so how can you sue someone who doesn’t have anything, she rents with no renters insurance. So here we are with nick in ICU and bills will pile up because of a woman who just couldn’t follow simple directions and now a dog had to be put down all because of this woman and now you have 2 families that will get nothing from this woman! It’s so sad I’m so glad that no kids and no one else was hurt. We definitely have a long road of recovery.
