Fund Freddie's Fight

Donation protected
In early April, Freddie Combs took an unexpected trip to the ER after an injury from a basketball game.

To think we would be thanking God for those broken ribs a few days later. Doctors noticed a few spots within his stomach and ran some tests. On April 6th, it was confirmed he has stage 3 stomach cancer.

Our family has gone through our fair share of battles. Freddie has always been there as a supporting caretaker to all of us. Including his mother, sisters, nieces, and nephews through their losses and life’s battles.

Freddie has devoted his entire young life to caring for his mother, our grandmother. He’d spend weekdays working, and heading home to keep her company in the evenings. On weekends he’d drive her around to run errands and enjoy his passion; playing basketball.

After her passing, in the past few years, we all were able to watch him begin to live his own life. Go on vacations and enjoy moments other than just commuting, working, and caring for others. We are not prepared for him to stop finding these beautiful moments that life has to offer. He and our family are ready to fight, and pull him through this challenging chapter together.

We are asking family and close friends to donate anything they can. In hopes to lift the financial burden that cancer also places on its victims. Freddie will begin Chemotherapy treatments on April 14, 2018. He will go for treatments two times a week and rest on the off days. This may cause him to take some time off of work as he gets further into his treatment cycle.  Doctors plan to revaluate after 6 weeks of treatment.

He is our secret teddy bear. He loves kids, sports, and cookies!! He is an incredible friend, brother and uncle to many.

More than anything we are asking for your prayers and support. Please take a moment to send him a message and let him you know you are thinking of him. We appreciate everyone’s support during this next chapter in our lives.
