Fund for Tracy (Hensen) Gardner

Tracy is my niece.  Early in 2016 she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. There were some delays while the doctors waited for the biopsy results. Tracy was in a lot of pain during chemo and radiation but continued to work at an assisted living facility. Her insurance has covered her medical bills but she has a$3,000 deductible then it goes to 80/20 until she meets a total of $6550 dollars, it has been very difficult emotionally and financially.

She is determined to fight the cancer but her pain and sickness from the treatments has reduced her working hours. Managing her medical costs, meeting the deductible and the car payment is extremely difficult. In May 2018 she was helping a client who was starting to fall. Tracy grabbed the client and the client fell on Tracy breaking Tracy’s hip. The client was not injured.  At this time she learned her cancer was back and it had spread. Tracy had been unable to work for a number of weeks. She returned to work but is only able to work 25 hours a week.  Her family and friends have made donations but they cannot keep up with the expenses. Tracy hates asking anyone for help or money.
