Tony vs Multiple Myeloma

Donation protected

Tony is a loving husband to Joanne and a fun-dad to 2 energetic sons, Aidan and Riley.  He is a passionate wedding photographer.  Under his lenses he captured tones of blissful moments and memories.

In August of 2019 he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.  His cancer cells were initially attached to his spine, in which his cancer journey began with 2 spinal surgeries.  Immediately after the 2nd surgery he learned that his nerves were damaged and he has to re-learn how to get back on this feet again with no sensation.  Many rounds of chemo and radiation therapy follows and he was optimistic and fully faithful that his creator is watching over him and his family.  He was mentally prepared and physically capable for the battle ahead.

Just as he thought he sees light at the end of the tunnel when he got discharged to go home, report shows that his Myeloma is aggressive and rare, it is progressing and he has only 4 more years with his family.  The news were hard to take, many tears was shed in hope to heal the broken hearts, many prayers were lifted for this believer to continue believing.

October 2019, the dark valley got darker and deeper as he started seeing double vision because the cancer cells had gone into the central nervous system.  Stronger chemo treatment were prescribed in hope to bring the cancer count down for stem cells transplant.  The stem cell collection has not been successful and the government is only covering the cost of 4 doses of medication to help with that process before moving on to a tougher battle to find a match.   All of these on-going change is challenging for the entire family.

Tony was the sole financial provider, with this diagnose, his family is currently on a pause.  As friends, we continuously keep this family in our prayers but there must be something more tangible we can do to help them fight and win this battle together.

If you know Tony, you also know that he is a die-hard fan of Star Wars.  While many of us has the luxury to enjoy “The rise of Skywalker”, Tony is still waiting for his turn to watch it with his family.

Can we join force today to help this Jedi win this war!

Please consider giving a gift to help Tony and his family today.  With your help, you can make this battle easier by easing their financial strain of potential treatment cost, housing, travel, food and so much more.

Any amount will be greatly appreciated.  If you are unable to donate, please share and circulate this page or support them in your prayer.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Tony and his family throughout this difficult journey.

With Love,
Friends of Tony Chan
