Fund for Dr JB Brager

Donation protected
Dr JB Brager is a trans Jewish scholar, educator, artist, and activist on women, gender, LGBTQ, human rights and genocide studies. (See bio below). They were a history teacher at Fieldston School until Thursday Jan 8, 2020. They have touched their colleagues and their students' lives with their brilliance, brave intellectual stances, clarity of values, multiplicity of thought, exemplary work in the classroom, and imaginative empathy. They were fired from Fieldston for reasons the administration has yet to reveal with specific clarity. This fund is to help Dr Brager get through this difficult period where they have suddenly lost their job. This fund is set up by colleagues at Fieldston.

NOTE: We, their colleagues, have created this fundraiser in a time of ambiguity: Dr Brager does not yet know their complete options. If money is not needed, the funds will go to an organization of Dr Brager's choice.

NOTE: We thank everyone for their generosity with this fund drive. Dr. Brager has now determined their way to move forward. This fund has been of great help in tiding them over in a time of need. Our great appreciation for all of you who helped. We will now be closing this GoFundMe drive as it has fulfilled its mission. Thanks to all.
