Fund for New Black Businesses

Donation protected
This week we have seen many injustices towards the black community come to light. Various efforts have been made to support the uplifting of black people and to help people understand that black lives matter.

If you are black, you know that enough is enough through your experiences. If you are an ally, you know that enough is enough through our stories. A common question people have is “How can I help?” Posting on social media can spread awareness about how people can educate themselves, donate to fundraisers, and support their black friends. That is helpful, but more action needs to be done. Protesting in the streets for a change gets people’s attention, but more action needs to be done. We are fighting a deep history of oppression that requires intentional and strategic action to resolve.

The institutional racism in America that has caused generational wealth never to accumulate for most black families in America can’t be changed overnight. We have to change policies that allow for black men to be convicted and incarcerated at alarmingly exorbitant rates. We have to change policies that allow for black children on one side of the block to go to an underfunded public school while the white children on the other end of the block attend a well funded public school just a mile away. We have to change policies that allow for black families in good financial standing to be denied loans, time and time again. We are not fighting each other, we are fighting are implicit biases; we are fighting a past that holds us still in chains. We have the tools today to step towards a future that is equitable tomorrow.

Our goal is to unify. This fund was designed to invest in companies that offer any product or service that is designed to help or uplift minorities. That’s where we got our name M4DE: Made For; we are made for minorities, by minorities and our allies. It is time to invest in the communities that don’t get the resources or opportunities that others do. It is time to use our wealth and power to invest in the future generations of minorities in America. Through educating and empowering minorities across America with products and services specifically for us, we can set future generations up to have equal footing. It starts with investing today. We’ll never harvest the fruits if we never sow the seeds.

Help us invest in the future minority leaders, businessmen and women, politicians, and more. Support new businesses that support the people who need to be lifted up.

Unify our country; love one another.

Sincerely,
M4DE Team
Made for minorities, by minorities and their allies

P.S. On a personal note, I am a black woman who has seen the injustices, lived the injustices, and seeks to change the injustices. With these funds I plan to use my resources, as a Harvard student, to form a team of advisors and donors to fund companies that are missioned to help black people and other minorities. I want to make this vision a reality. Come join me in the fight for the futures of little girls and boys who look like me!
