- Hi. I'm Eileen. I'm 69 yrs old, retired, and living on a small fixed income. My daughter-in-law Olivia O'Connor, and my two granddaughters, Scarlett, age 6, and Kelsie, age 4, came to live with me at my home in Marshalltown Iowa, on November 2nd, this year. On November 16th, she drove to Iowa City, Iowa, to visit friends. The girls stayed home with me..She was supposed to return in the evening. It got late, I waited for her to call. I started calling her. No answers.
- On November 17, I found her.She had past away, at the University of Iowa Hospital, in Iowa City Iowa at about 11 am. I lost her. We lost her. Olivia was only 25 years old. It was so sudden. Totally devastating.
- ,Now, I am trying to get custody of my two granddaughters, Scarlett and Kelsie. It's important that they live with me. They are already enrolled in Marshalltown schools. And they have made friends on our street.
- But, I need help obtaining an attorney to get custody of the girls. Their mother worked so hard to care for them. This is where she wanted them to be. I can't let her down.
- My car was old and no longer runs. I'm desperately in need of a reliable car to transport them to school events, doctor appointments, get groceries, and everywhere they need to go, and for emergencies.
- I live in the country; there is no bus service out here. I rely on a neighbor to give me rides when she's available. Please help us. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this. If you yourself can't help, maybe you could give this page to someone else that could help us. Thank you, and keep smiling.....
