<div>Hi, my name is Hanna Sidorchenko. I arrived in Winnipeg 2 months ago from Vasylkiv, Ukraine with my 18 year old son. My husband Andrii stayed in Ukraine to defend the country as he did from the beginning of the Russian invasion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On May 5, 2023 I received the news that my husband was killed in combat in Bakhmut.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I went back to Ukraine to arrange the funeral and look after the legal affairs only to find out that the body of my beloved husband was left in Bachmut.
</div>
<div>From the military commissariat in Ukraine I got his personal belongings and the document that he is considered missing until the body will be returned.
</div>
<div>I hired the lawer to help my family understand why he is considered missing, having 5 witnesses if his death, including his commander.
</div>
<div>We also filed missing person report and brought his toothbrush and razor for the DNA tests.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am continuing to fundraise for legal fees and living expenses, because my husband Andrew was providing for our family.
</div>
<div>My son Rostyslav currently works in construction, but we would like him to be able to go to school next year.
</div>
<div>If I can cover the cost of rent for a year, my son can finish Grade 12 and not have to provide for us.
</div>
<div>———-
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>————
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>1.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>2.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>3.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>4.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>5.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div>Анна Сідорченко
