<div>I am starting this campaign for my partner Chad, with hopes of raising enough funds to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle which will allow him to be able to go places like doctor's appointments, grocery store, or just for a ride out. Right now since he is unable to transfer into a regular vehicle he is restricted to either being at home or using some form of medical transportation service if it's available or approved by his insurance.

<div>In 2021 Chad underwent a surgery on his cervical spine that his doctor was certain would alleviate the issues he was having with leg weakness, balance issues and back pain. Prior to surgery Chad was doing good and in good spirits looking forward to recovering and getting back to living a normal pain free life. When Chad woke up from the surgery he was unable to move any of his limbs, which classified him as quadriplegic. He has been given no clear explanation as to why this happened and has had to adjust to this unfortunate "new normal." He spent a month in the hospital, and another month in a rehab facility, then sent home to figure it all out and the hope that he'd regain his mobility and independence.

<div>Chad is one of the strongest men I know, and he has had to overcome some major obstacles and struggles since that surgery. He also deals with kidney failure which requires dialysis 3 days a week, and he also suffered a stroke in May of 2023. Through it all, Chad remains positive and still tries to help and encourage others. His only wish is that he could get out of the house from time to time for something other than a doctor's appointment, so I'm really hoping we can get some form of transportation that will allow him to do so.
