ABOUT US

Cambridge Futsal Club was established in 2013 by a group of overseas futsal enthusiasts who were working or studying in the city. The club, recently nicknamed “The Bees”, has a simple goal: to get as many people as possible playing and supporting Futsal in and around Cambridge.

The Women’s team was established in 2022 and has quickly risen to prominence in the futsal community, showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our players come from diverse backgrounds, united by a common goal: to excel in futsal and represent Cambridge with pride and passion.

Competing in the FA’s National Futsal Series, Women’s Tier 2 South, and reaching the Women’s Plate semi-final, the team’s second ever season showed unprecedented improvement - and we want to continue our journey.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to promote futsal as an inclusive and empowering sport for women of all ages and abilities. As futsal is rising in popularity, our team provides a futsal community for women in and around Cambridge. We strive to create a positive and supportive environment where players can develop their skills, build lasting friendships, and achieve their full potential.

Our goals reach beyond the present, as we aim to inspire a new generation of female futsal players. The Cambridge Women’s Futsal Club is one-of-a-kind in the area, providing one of the only examples to young girls of a Women's First Team in an established club. This positive message, is one that must continue.

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Unfortunately, like many grassroots sports clubs, we have difficulty with finances. This now means we are left uncertain as to whether we can compete in the next season at all.

With rising hall fees we need help covering the cost of venue hire for training and match days, as well as league and referee fees. With almost no funding available to our Team, we are fundraising, and making every effort to save the Women's Team.

To continue for another season, we need your support. As an important part of both the Cambridge community, and the Women’s futsal community, we want to continue to provide the inclusive spaces that many currently rely on. Maintaining our team is vital for the growth of Women’s futsal, and sport generally, both on a local and national scale.

We are completely self-sufficient, and separate from the Men's team so need to raise the funds ourselves.
