<div>My name is Alyssa, and right now, I’m preparing for major surgery scheduled on December 23rd. It’s been a tough journey leading up to this—filled with anxiety, uncertainty, and those quiet moments where the world feels a little too big and lonely. But even in the midst of my own struggles, I’ve been reminded of something powerful: we’re all connected, and no one should have to face life’s hardest battles alone. That’s why I’m starting this fundraiser—not just for myself, but to pay it forward and spread hope to others who need it most.

<div>During my upcoming time in the hospital, I know I’ll see the quiet strength of patients fighting their own fights, and the tireless dedication of the hospital staff who make it all possible. I want to raise money to give Christmas (and beyond) to those in the hospital—simple gifts like cozy blankets, books, treats, or even handwritten notes of encouragement for patients spending the holidays away from home. For the staff, maybe coffee vouchers, thank-you care packages, or something to brighten their long shifts. The more we raise, the more lives we can touch. Every pound counts toward making someone’s day a little warmer and less isolated.

<div>But this isn’t just about the hospital—it’s about stepping in wherever loneliness and hardship strike. I believe I’m an angel sent to pass forward the work of God, turning kindness into a chain reaction that changes lives. Here’s how I plan to use the funds to help even more people:

<div>• Supporting Recovery and New Beginnings: I’ll pay individuals struggling with drug addiction to enter and complete a program at Cirtek House, a safe space for getting clean. Upon successful completion, they’ll receive a stipend to help them rebuild—not as a handout, but as an investment in their future. In return, I’ll ask them to pay it forward by helping others in similar situations, creating a ripple of support.

<div>• Helping the Homeless Through Harsh Weather: Especially during the cold months, we’ll provide essentials like warm clothing, blankets, hot meals, and temporary shelter options. No one should face the elements alone when a little help can make all the difference.

<div>• Easing Financial Burdens: For those on their last chance with bills—rent, utilities, or other essentials— we’ll step in with targeted assistance to prevent eviction or shutoffs, giving them breathing room to get back on their feet.

<div>• Building Connections and Real Change: This is about more than money; it’s about people. I’ll sit and talk with individuals in need—listening to their stories, building bonds, and understanding exactly how to help. Whether it’s providing work clothing for job interviews, transportation to appointments, or resources to apply for employment, the goal is to empower them to turn things around. As long as the support is used productively, like pursuing jobs or stability, we’ll be there to change their day (and maybe their life) for the better.

<div>The list goes on— from surprising a single parent with groceries to mentoring a young person feeling lost. With your help, we can bless more people than I could ever reach alone. I’ve felt the weight of isolation as I approach this surgery, and I don’t want anyone else to carry it. Together, let’s be the light in someone’s darkness.

<li>Overlapping and perforating bowels
</li>
<li>gastro oesophagus and gastro intestinal disease
</li>
<li>3 tumours in my liver
</li>
<li>Multiple gall stones stuck in my bladder they are removing the bladder and stones over Xmas.
</li>
<li>Hitaus hernia and inwards imbillical hernia.
</li>
<li>dead colon, prolapse into my cervix and a dropped cervix.
</li>
<li>They call all of this a long term multi system chronic pain illness.
</li>
</ul>
<div>I really want to help people going through invisible illness’s, it took so long just for a hospital to do one X-ray, but I’ve been suffering from all of this with no diagnosis’s or help for 6years, they just classed me as having bad mental health.

<div>negligence teams are going slow, I suppose due to economical difficulties we are facing. I would dream of being able to start trying to live a normal life again too.

Make sure people aren’t struggling physically or mentally and that they have someone there for them.

<div>I will be having more surgery over Xmas so this starting money will go towards gifts for staff and people on wards with no family, who are struggling or alone, even those who look like they don’t need we don’t know what they are actually going through, so I’d like to surprise them with gifts too.

<div>gifts include toys, money, groceries, clothes, coats, new shoes and trainers, sleeping bags, literally even the littlest of things can help somebody’s life that little bit better.
</div>
<div>Being long term diagnosed by hospital it’s made me realise how much our health really means to us and how I have to adapt to it rather than feeling invisible, I need to take things slow, But my body is that stressed it won’t let me sleep, and I can’t sleep because my bodies stressing out, catch 22.

<div>i’ve literally been diagnosed with a list on my page. It’s really changed the way I live and not being able to work, life’s taken a turn I never thought would happen to me.

<div>Thats why I need to help, I want to help those who are even genuinely down, it doesn’t have to be a major thing. So I’ll be meeting new people along my way and will be gifting them as long as they then be kind to someone that day, that’s the only deal breaker and to see if they would help someone or take the money to keep. A lot a psychological tests but one’s which helps us see what a person is like deep down or what situation they are in to think they are worse off than anyone else.
