Fults Family Hurricane Relief Fund

Our sister Kate, her Houston-native husband Frank, and their three kids, experienced flood waters entering their home as a result of Hurricane Harvey. Many of their loving family and friends are wondering how they can help directly, which is why we set up this fund.
The damage that the hurricane left on their home, and others, is immense. Ever since the rain stopped, they (along with the help of wonderful volunteers) have been working night and day on their home. They have to completely gut and rebuild their main level. All of their appliances are ruined. On top of that, while flood insurance is helpful, it is not covering nearly as much as they thought it would. It's heartbreaking to think that our sister and so many others are taking such a loss because of this. Funds donated will be used solely to help the Fults family rebuild their home in circumstances where their flood insurance will not cover.
When they were told not to evacuate their home, the Fults put themselves into survival mode and prepared. They put their cars up on risers, ripped out the carpet, moved all their belongings upstairs, created a makeshift kitchen, and made a meal plan for the next several days. They got what they could from the grocery store, and fortunately they were already prepared with a hefty supply of food storage and emergency items that have been life-saving.
While many of their neighbors have evacuated, Kate's family felt very confident "glamping" upstairs for four days. They lost power for a while, and their water is unusable, but they are still thriving! Using a propane stove, food in a cooler, and relying on food storage supply, she cooked three meals a day for her family- things like pancakes, quesadillas, taco soup, hamburger soup and more. She is truly inspiring!
Kate and Frank are very generous people, and realize there are thousands of people who have been affected. They will pay your generosity forward to help their fellow Texans. Although they were as prepared as they could have been for this natural disaster, it will still be a long road to get their lives back in order. They are counting their blessings, especially that they are all together and are safe. If you would like to donate to this cause, as her sister, I cannot thank you enough! May God bless each of you.
