Fully-trained Assistance Dogs for those in need

We are a team of specialist dog trainers, dog breeders and dog owners with experience of rearing fully trained assistance dogs. We are in the early stages of setting up an organisation with the hope of establishing a Registered Charity in the UK to make a difference to the lives of people with learning difficulties. The cause is near and dear to our hearts as some of us have personal, first-hand experience of such challenges, particularly with mental/emotional health and autism in children.
With our combined experiences, we would like to offer support and guidance along with equipment and training tips to existing dog owners (or family members of those with challenges) in training their dogs to become fully qualified assistance dogs at the highest standard. Fully trained assistance dogs can work up to 10 years; they become family members and the support and love they provide is immeasurable. We would like to be there every step of the way and throughout the entire journey.
We are looking to crowdfund this initiative as not all families can afford to fully train their dogs or train them at all due to poorly children or physical difficulties. A fully trained assistance dog takes up to two years to train and costs £30,000 per dog in training hours and equipment. We are currently looking to raise £5,000 to take the first step of registering our organisation as a charity. With financial support, we hope to begin to lay the foundations to provide these families with puppies/dogs for owners to train as well as fully trained dogs for those without the means. 100% of your donation will go towards training and equipment.
