Fueling Inquiring Minds

Hello friends,

As many of you know, I have been teaching 4th grade at The School at St. George Place in Houston for the last 2 years.  SGP is an International Baccalaureate World School, and is comprised of an amazingly diverse student body.  Our mission statement at SGP is to "empower individuals to become internationally minded, life-long learners through challenging inquiry-based learning experiences that connect to the world around us.   As a community, we embrace developing knowledgeable, compassionate, and open-minded thinkers inspired to take purposeful action in our global community."

Houston ISD has also faced large budget cuts, and we are operating with a reduction of almost $200,000 this year.  I am teaching science and math this year, and there are so many authentic learning activities and research projects I would like my students to participate in and have access to, but our lack of technology limits us.  Please consider donating to this fund so that I may provide the children the resources necessary to stay competitive in our ever increasing digital world.  Your donation will go towards the purchasing of chrome books for our classroom.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!!
