Fuel trucks & deliver FREE food to people in need

Please help fuel our trucks and vans so we can provide good food to Aussies facing hardship. SecondBite rescues surplus and unsold food donated by farmers, manufacturers and retailers and provides it FREE of charge to more than 1,400 community food programs across Australia. The food is used for emergency food relief hampers, nourishing meals and community food pantries to support people experiencing hardship, including families in crisis, youth at risk, Indigenous communities, people with disabilities and homeless people. Last year we provided more than 24.3 million kilos of food, equivalent to 48.7 million meals! 

 

To collect and deliver free food across Australia, we need fuel to keep our trucks and vans running. Keeping our vehicles on the road is getting tougher with rising fuel costs. It costs us at least $250,000 each year to fuel our vehicles. Without the fuel needed, we won't be able to reach as many people, especially those in regional, rural and remote communities doing it tough.

 

Every $1 you donate enables us to rescue and deliver enough food for up to 5 meals. So even 20 cents will make a big difference. The need is great - floods, COVID, and rising living costs mean many more people urgently need help.
