<div>Hi! I’m McKenna, and I’ve been chasing dreams and speed on a bike for as long as I can remember. I started riding before I could walk, inspired by my parents, who spent weekends racing and riding tandems together. From my very first pedal stroke, cycling became my passion, my safe place, and the foundation of a dream that has guided me ever since.

<div>I started racing cyclocross at seven and later explored mountain biking, road racing, collegiate competitions, and finally track cycling. At twelve, I discovered the velodrome, and everything clicked. The speed, precision, and power of track cycling captivated me, and I knew this was where I needed to focus.

<div>I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age six, which adds extra challenges to training and competing, but it has also taught me discipline, adaptability, and focus. I’ve learned to monitor my blood sugar, optimize nutrition, and stay composed under pressure skills that make me a stronger athlete both on and off the bike.

<div>Currently, I’m training full-time in Los Angeles with the USA Cycling National Team. In 2026 I will be signing on with Star Track Trade Team. This incredible opportunity gives me continued access to world-class coaching and resources. Living and training at this level comes with significant expenses, including rent, travel, equipment, coaching, nutrition, medical needs, and competition fees. It is estimated that per year with all these expenses added up it will be between 30-40k to maintain the level in which I continue to work towards.
