Hi folks, thank you for stopping to read this.
In July, Tori and I found out that I have Stage 4 Lung cancer, which has spread to my spine. After a lot of emotional roller-coasters, my clear choice was to do natural healing rather than chemo/radiation. If you've been around me the past several years, you know this fits my beliefs and my life. We found a great doctor, who has me doing a number of amazing therapies and some pretty potent supplements that began to make a huge difference in how I felt, within just a few weeks.
While taking advantage of some fabulous, loving healers, massage therapists and energy workers, the costs of all of this are not covered by my insurance...something I am accustomed to. It has been so clear that stresses make healing more difficult, and I am not accustomed to the dwindled bank account as a result of all of the regular out-go of money. Starting next month, my income will be reduced as I go into my 4th month on disability. The thought of that definitely increases my stress level, even when I try to remain calm and relaxed.
When receiving the news of my diagnosis, so many asked "What can I do to help?" It is not an easy request, but I am swallowing my pride and asking you to consider donating the cost of a cup of coffee, a dinner out, a movie, etc. This would be the greatest help. I am able to get around, to be up and feel pretty good, most days. We don't need cooking or transportation. But I am unable to return to work, and my healing is my full-time job. While a few great friends have helped me out financially, the acculmulation of costs is overwhelming.
