FTMHS Marching Band

Florence Township Memorial High School Marching Band is a small Group 1 band.  We fluctuate between 25-40 members and the age range is 7th-12th grade.  We may be small in size but we're big in heart!  To see these kids faces after a competition, regardless of their score....PRICELESS!!   As many of you know, funding for music has been cut drastically over the years.  The FTMHSMB Booster Club was created to support the efforts of our band and directors as well as other music programs at the high school. We are a 501(C)(3) organization.  As mighty as we all are, we just can't do it alone.   We're asking for your help.  We have set a large goal as we're hoping to do so much.  Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and put to very good use. 
    Our drums are 30+ yrs old and are beyond repair.  One of our current band members is playing the same drums his father played when he was in high school.
The heads have been repaired with tape, there are several chunks missing along the rims, and the hardware is rusted.  To replace our drum line we're estimating $7,000. That is for drums, harnesses and cases.
    Our next big purchase would be rain coats.  The band has played several competitions and been in the stands supporting our football team in the rain multiple times.  The show must go on, right?  One of our many dreams is to provide a little protection from the elements along with trying to look uniform, while protecting the uniforms.  We'd need to purchase at least 50 coats, in varying size, and that will be approximately $5,000.
    Our Marimba falls apart everytime we take it with us.  Similar to Hansel and Gretel, it leaves a trail back to the bus.  To get one that'll withstand all of the moving will be approximately $3,000.
   And last but not least...our color guard.  It seems to be increasing in numbers.  Over the years, we have added 1 or 2 things here and there.  We've patched this and that.  We need new flags, flag poles, and rifles.  We'd like to add sabers and get equipment bags to haul and protect everything.  We would need approximately $1,700  for guard supplies.
    Now, there are smaller items that weren't factored into our numbers.  We need drum sticks, mallets and spare drumheads just in case.  It would be ideal to have back up supplies and repair kits for each type of instrument.
