Hi! My name is Lizzy Griffin, and I'm a Junior at Ouachita Baptist University currently finishing my bachelors degree in Musical Theatre with a classical emphasis. I have a passion for singing, especially in the operatic genre.
This summer, I have the opportunity to travel to Urbino, Italy from May 23- June 16th to study the Italian language, culture, and operatic style of singing. I will be studying under professionals from some of the finest music schools in the country, and experienced performers from the Metropolitan Opera. I will recieve instensive lessons in Italian, one-on-one vocal training and coachings. The repertoire I will learn will be showcased in various venues across Northern Italy, enabling me to perform the skills I've learned. In addition to the invaluable musical training, the trip also fullfills the six hours of foriegn launguage credit that I need to graduate.
The cost of the trip is $4,000 not including travel expenses, and meals on the weekends.
A substantial, non-refundable deposit of my tutition is due by early February. The final installment must be paid no later than April 1st, 2018.
