FirstKerns is a student-led organization that strives to create an inclusive, positive, diverse, and accessible space for first-generation college students at EKU. We provide a space for students to develop close social relations with other first-generation college students to encourage social integration into the Eastern Kentucky community. We advocate for topics involving and impacting first-generation college students as well as promote first-generation academic success throughout students’ academic careers while at EKU.
