WHS WiredCats FRC Team #5872 World Championship

In 2018, the Western High School WiredCats FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) FTC Team #6322 had done what no other robotics team at Western High School (Davie, FL) had done before - made it to World Competition in Houston, TX. We thank everyone who helped us make it through mentoring and financial support. After a successful season the team set it sites on competing in the 2019 First Robotics Competition (FRC) where the robots are more sophisticated and the game a bit more challenging. The great news is that our team just received an invitation to WORLD COMPETITION IN HOUSTON, TX. World's will take place April 17-20, 2019. To defray some of the costs of travel to competition, we are washing cars, holding fundraisers with local businesses and seeking sponsor support. We only have a few weeks to raise another $6,500 to travel to Houston with our 20 team members, 4 chaperones, robot and equipment. We need your help - Any amount that you can donate is so greatly appreciated and will go a long way to supporting our team's trip to FIRST FRC World Championship. 

The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting Mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
