Galway Cartoon Festival 2021

This year's Galway Cartoon Festival, from October 1st - 9th 2021, is going to be bigger and brighter than ever with lots more public involvement and a series of major exhibitions and events, however we need your help! This year, we plan to provide a lot more outdoor drawing spaces for the public to utilize. An extension to our outdoor art trail, with lots of cartoon art being exhibited in locations throughout the city. Our main exhibition of top Irish and International cartoon art will be on the theme of our new-found Freedom! One again we will have a show of Irish Language cartoons (Tarraing É I nGaeilge) in Galway city and at Áras Éanna, a special exhibition of work by a featured artist and a host of new events including live caricatures, talks and workshops and we hope to entice a number of top cartoonists to come to Galway. But all this takes funding. Please contribute whatever you can to make this a memorable festival. Put a smile on our faces and we guarantee to put a smile on yours!
