Onesies from my NICU baby to another

Donation protected

Four years ago, around this time it was the beginning of the end of a twin pregnancy for my husband and I. Two surgeries 2 weeks apart left me broken. It was devastating and heart-wrenching but with the help of my husband, family and my 2 closest friends I managed to get through.

Fast forward to a year later there I was pregnant and feeling uncomfortable which I assumed was normal for the latter part of pregnancy. I went to the hospital one day for what EVERYONE except me thought were Braxton Hicks but they weren't, it was the real thing. I got a shot, the contractions subsided and I went home. 10 days later I was back and this time they admitted me.  But why? I had just scheduled my c-section. The following morning our beautiful daughter was born.

It was the week of Christmas and my daughter was in the NICU, I was praying we would be home for Christmas but we weren't.  I was sad and a little broken. On Christmas morning, I walked into the room, there was a little box and the nurses said "mama a church dropped that off it's for you."  I was confused. With excitement to see what was inside, the nurses watched me open the box. I did- and I cried. It was a small box packed with things perfectly picked for me from people who didn't even know me.

The nurses were just as amazed as I was. Moments later, I noticed my daughter had a Christmas blanket so I asked where it was from. The nurse said a nice lady donates blankets and hats to us every Christmas and there I was crying again. 2 different sets of people who didn't know me or my daughter got us gifts for Christmas. The NICU is lonely and anytime spent there is TOO MUCH time. It filled my heart to know that people out in our community cared enough to be there for us in this lonely time.

Now that Christmas is fast approaching I would love to be one of those people who gifts something to a NICU baby/mom. I am asking for your help to make this happen. Donations will help me to buy blank onesies/shirts/cups and  the supplies I need to complete this project.

Please help me give a NICU baby a onesie for Christmas. All onesies will be customized by me.

Last year  we managed to make/ deliver a little over 100 onesies to 3 hospitals in palm beach county. I hope to double that this year and throw in some cups for some mamas.
