Donations For Daddy (Mark)

Mark H. Snyder, age 51, has been aggressively fighting small cell lung cancer for the past two years. Mark quit smoking cold turkey in July of 2012, an accomplishment that anyone would be proud of. He was diagnosed with the debilitating disease on September 11, 2012 at the age of 49. After coughing up blood, a trip to the emergency room was made. The doctors believed that coughing up blood was a sign his body gave him to indicate that something was seriously wrong. The physicians found no reason for him to be coughing up blood, therefore, several tests were run, an X-ray was performed and a two inch mass was found in his left lung. Throughout the year he started very aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Eventually, the lung cancer had spread from his right lung to his left, to his lymph system leaving a mass in one of his nodes in the clavicle reign, and to his pelvic region leaving a mass in his lower abdomen.

He fought hard, though all the intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments he continued to work every single day. He worked to support his loving wife and three beautiful daughters. He beat the odds and was given an extra year of life.

On October 3rd 2014, he started feeling strong stomach pains, and wasn’t able to go to the doctors until that following Monday... He ended up going to the chemo center and eventually they admitted him into the emergency room. He was able to get a CT scan and found out that there was a tumor mass that tore his lower intestine, causing severe pain, swelling and bad infections to run all thought his body.

He has been in the hospital ever since.
