This entire project was created in lightning speed by a small team of therapists and psychologists in response to direct reports of trauma experienced by doctors and nurses on the front line. The service is live and it's free, rapidly matching volunteer therapists and counsellors with frontline COVID-19 workers. We need your help!
We are processing daily requests from frontline workers in need of emotional and psychological support, and we have counsellors, psychologists and trauma specialists on standby, generously offering some of their expertise for no charge. With around 1000 therapists now on our database and growing numbers of distress calls from doctors and nurses, we have been featured in The Independent and The Sunday Times and are in partnership with Helpforce and NHS Practitioners. We are working entirely for free and happy to do so!
We need help! Our basic website is not built to handle volume, and we rapidly need a more automated system so we can get wellbeing support to workers as quickly as possible, now and in the future. When this pandemic subsides, those affected frontline heroes will need us more than ever to process the emotional trauma of what they have faced. Some of them are agency workers, some of them may not find the support they need through other channels and may need a fast solution.
We have expert web builders standing by to provide us with a solution at the fastest possible turn around speed.
We reached our first goal of £5k thanks to your generous donations! The complex web build is underway and we need to reach £10k to have that signed off and operational. In addition we need a further funds to cover legal and start-up business costs. The more we make, the easier it is to get word out to the front-line workers who need us. Everyone on this project is working without charge.
