In times of crisis, countless selfless people put themselves at great personal risks for the service and wellbeing of others who need it most. This is a calling.
Our calling, in normal times, is to work with Small sustainable farmers & producers to prepare lunches and dinners across our restaurants in London & Cornwall: Primeur, Westerns Laundry, Jolene, Fitzroy & North Street Kitchen. In these testing times, we feel we should turn all our skills and spare time to make every effort to support those in need by preparing nutritious meals for the people who need it most and are most vulnerable to the crisis and its consequences.
There are many vulnerable groups at risks while the CV-19 crisis unfolds and we will attempt to bring relief to as many as we can identify without bias. Every donation you make enables us to buy in fresh food from our trusted farmers and turn Jolene Bakery into a food preparation center which can mill our grains into flours to make bread, sandwiches & pasta and donate them to those in need.
The bigger the donation the smarter we can buy provisions & the more we can stretch yourfunds to reach more people.
As a sliding scale example £6.5 will buy 1 meal while £65 will buy 15 meals and so on.
We will endeavour to prepare meals 2/3 times a week, coordinating with other food charities & initiatives to makes sure we are as food efficient as possible ensuring the supply chain to the people is neither interrupted nor over subscribed.
The frequency and range of our meals will obviously depend on the tightening of the government restrictions with supplies and movement but we will endeavour to keep loaves and pasta going no matter what over the next coming weeks or months and until the crisis eases.
