I am Sharon Collopy, one of a team of Trócaire volunteers within the Diocese of Limerick. This years Trócaire Lenten Campaign focuses on the conflict being experienced in South Sudan, and its effects on so many Sudanese people. This fundraising event is one of many events hoping to raise vital funds for Trócaire over this Lenten period. We are inviting people from all parishes and communities to get involved in collectively covering the virtual distance from Limerick to South Sudan of 6,241kilometers over the six weeks of Lent, by either running, walking or cycling. All distances covered will be greatly appreciated.
