Hello, my name is Marcus. I am a proud and loving single father of two wonderful children. My kids are my world, and every day I fight to be strong for them.
Recently, my life changed in a way I could have never imagined. I was admitted to the hospital and underwent a major surgery that removed my gallbladder, part of my small intestine, and a section of my colon. The surgery was life-saving, but it left me facing a long and difficult road to recovery.
I have now been in the hospital for two months. Each day is a challenge, but also a blessing. I am working closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to rebuild my strength, relearn skills, and take steps toward regaining my independence. Healing has been slow and painful, but I am determined to keep pushing forward because I know my children need me.
As a single father, one of my biggest struggles during this time is making sure my kids are cared for while I am recovering. Being unable to work and provide for them the way I normally do has been one of the hardest parts of this journey. Along with the mounting medical bills and ongoing therapy costs, the financial strain has become overwhelming.
I am raising funds to help cover:
Medical expenses and therapy costs not fully covered by insurance
Essential household expenses so my children have stability and security
Transportation needs for hospital visits, therapy, and follow-up appointments
Basic needs for my kids as we navigate this uncertain time
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Your kindness will not only support my recovery but also bring comfort and security to my children during this difficult chapter in our lives.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation. Your support, prayers, and encouragement mean more than words can express. Together, I believe we can get through this and come out stronger on the other side.
With gratitude,
Marcus S.
