Silwan Children to the Sea

The Al-Bustan Association in Silwan in Jerusalem will be taking a bus load of children to the sea on August 26th, 2023.

For most, it will be their first sight of the sea.

Life in Silwan is hard. Silwan is a Palestinian neighbourhood in the heart of Jerusalem, and the authorities want them out. See this map for the location of Al-Bustan area in Silwan Neighbourhood where more than eighty structures are under threat of demolition (U.N.). But the community are determined to stay and their strength of survival is extraordinary.

Help children in Silwan have a day of fun at the sea and celebrate the survival of their community, where they will join the International Swim With Gaza Festival on August 26th 2023.

The cost of the bus trip is $700 (£550, €640).
