Hi Everyone!

My name is Deja! I am a student at Hollins University. Ever since I started college, it has been my dream to be able to study abroad. Lucky for me, I was officially accepted into the program and will be taking on Ireland in January! As a first-generation college student majoring in Elementary Education and Psychology, every step I take toward my future means everything not just to me, but to my entire family.

Studying abroad is more than just travel—it's a chance for me to grow as a future educator, immerse myself in a new culture, and experience life beyond what I’ve ever known. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will shape my prospective classroom and how I will be inspiring young minds one day, and I could not be more excited!

I have been working extremely hard to manage college tuition, life expenses, grades, and my other priorities on my own. As a Christian, I’ve trusted in and relied on God through every challenge and blessing—and this opportunity feels like one of both. However, with travel, housing, meals, and program fees adding up, I can't take this leap without help.
