<div>Our beloved cousin Danielle’s life changed in an instant, and now she’s facing the fight of her life.

<div>Danielle was born on September 18, 1997, and has always been someone who brings love, laughter, and energy to the people around her. She comes from a close and loving family and has a huge passion for the things she loves most — St. Louis sports, music, travel, and the people closest to her heart.
</div>

<div>If you know Danielle, you know her love for the St. Louis Blues runs deep. Hockey has always been her favorite sport, and TJ Oshie has long been one of her favorite players. She also loves music and concerts, often traveling out of state to experience live shows with friends and family. Recently, Danielle celebrated one of the happiest moments of her life — getting engaged to her fiancé, Jason, with whom she shares their beloved dog, Shohei.

<div>On May 16th, Danielle attended Pointfest. While watching Sleep Theory perform, she was accidentally kicked in the head by a crowd surfer. What initially seemed like an unfortunate accident quickly became something much more serious.
</div>

<div>By Tuesday, May 19th, Danielle was admitted to the hospital after experiencing severe headaches. After testing, doctors discovered a brain bleed that was likely caused by the impact from the concert incident.
</div>

</div>
<div>But what happened next changed everything.
</div>

</div>
<div>While hospitalized, Danielle suffered her first stroke early Thursday morning, resulting in weakness and deficiencies on her right side. Then, on Friday morning, she suffered a second stroke and was rushed into emergency surgery to remove a clot from her brain. During surgery, doctors removed approximately six pints of blood along with additional clots.

<div>Danielle is currently in a medically induced coma to help reduce swelling in her brain and give her body the best chance possible to heal. Doctors expect her to remain in this state for at least two weeks as they carefully monitor her recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As devastating and frightening as this journey has been, the accident at Pointfest may have ultimately saved Danielle’s life by revealing a much more serious underlying condition that otherwise may not have been discovered in time.
</div>

</div>
<div>Right now, Danielle’s family is focused entirely on supporting her through this unimaginable battle. Between emergency surgeries, intensive care, rehabilitation needs, and time away from work for loved ones supporting her, the emotional and financial burdens are overwhelming.
</div>
