Do I miss Hope? Of course. The memories of our shared life are so beautiful. Losing my wife, best friend, and one flesh to cancer has been tragic.
Everyone has asked me, "What can I do for you?"
Here’s my answer: This one-time GoFundMe campaign will help. It's a way to give back to our community in memory of amazing Hope.
The funds from this campaign will be used two ways:
1. Support Hood River High School Volleyball ($2,500)*
2. Support Hood River CMA Church Women's Ministry ($2,500)*
We have already received $2,100 in offline donations. If there is extra giving, we'll figure that out as we go.
HRVHS Volleyball
Hope truly loved volleyball and everything it involved: coaching, practicing, traveling, and building relationships. She believed that having supportive mentors, working hard, and healthy competition are characteristics of success.
Hood River Valley High School has a great volleyball program, and we’d like to gift them with warm-up uniforms in Hope’s name ($600.00). Beyond that, we want to support the team with travel costs, equipment, and program needs. Our goal here is $2,500.00.
HRAC Women’s Ministry
Without a doubt, Hope's primary passion was following God and building relationships. She especially loved friendships that grew up and around women’s ministry.
Hope sincerely wanted to hear your story, encourage you, and pray for you. She was always ready to take your problems, concerns, hopes, and dreams straight to God, asking Him to bring freedom from whatever was holding you down, to heal your hurts, and to flood your life with joy and purpose.
Hood River Alliance Women’s Ministry really cares about women, too, and Hope deeply loved everything about it. We’d like to gift 10 scholarships to the group’s annual retreat ($2,000) and provide additional funds for study materials ($500).
