Help Gracie Stay Mobile

I never knew how much our family’s view on life would change until the day my niece, Grace, was born. From the day our family received the life altering news that this precious life had a high probability of having Down Syndrome, to 9 years later, looking into the face of a precious miracle of God; none of us will ever be the same. From the day she first rolled over to when she took her first steps, she continues to overcome challenges while growing into the precious child of God she was always intended to be. We have watched her learned to make small jumps on a trampoline, swing on a play-set, to swimming in a pool, all while smiling and laughing.
As she continues to grow in size, her muscle tone is still very weak, making it more of a challenge for her family to take her places outside of the home. The tone in her legs barely allows her to walk a 1/4 of a block before she has to sit, making it very difficult for her to go to a park with her siblings, go on family outings or just get outdoors for much needed walks in the fresh air. She has become too heavy to be carried very far, so it has restricted her life adventures.

A friend from church came up to me one day and shared what was on her heart regarding her friend Gracie.

“Caroline, I want to help raise funds to get our friend, Gracie, a special needs stroller so her mom and her can get outside this summer! Can you help me help Gracie? I just want people to know how much Gracie is loved and if we can come together we can create some wonderful opportunities for her and her family. This will allow them to explore outside of a small confined area into the great world!"

The moments when God presents His heart through others and you become speechless….  that was me....

Would you be willing to help us raise funds to buy our friend, Gracie, a stroller that would make her more mobile to continue her life adventures??

We have been looking at many different options that the family would be able to use for quite a few years, while Gracie is still growing.  There are many choices, and we really would like her parents to pick out the stoller that would best meet Gracie's needs and also still fit into their vehicle.  One of the sites we have looked at, but not limited to http://www.adaptivemall.com/ligtravchair.html

Gracie's parents DO NOT know about this page, but we understand that once it is posted on social media that will no longer be the case. We want to show them community love and bless them with something that they are currently unable to provide.

Thank you so much!!

Many Blessings!
