Friends of Vincentia Golf Club Inc

Hi All,

We are a group of local residents who are concerned with the future of Vincentia Golf Club.

In 2016 the St Georges Basin Country Club amalgamated with us. They assumed all of our debts ($1.3m) and gained control of the club, clubhouse and land (>$20m). Both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding and the Country Club agreed to 'revitalise', 'promote' and 'invest' in Vincentia. They have not done this.

As a result of a recent Extraordinary Meeting, at which members overwhelmingly voted against an incomplete development plan, the Country Club immediately closed the course and clubhouse. While negotiations continue we are preparing for an eventual 'day in court'.

We are in dispute and argue they have breached the Memorandum Of Understanding.

We have already incurred costs to raise awareness of these circumstances and see more to come by way of:

We are purely voluntary and exist only to save our Golf Course and Clubhouse for the use and enjoyment of the golfing and wider Bay & Basin Community.
