Friends of Robert Rogers

Robert has been diagnosed with non-small-cell Lung Cancer. After much testing and consultations the Cancer Team and Robert decided to do surgery. They will remove one lung completely and then he will have Chemo Therapy.  Robert now staying with me long way away from where his testing, surgery and treatments will be. (over a hour from Oregon Health & Science University Hospital)  there are the extra expenses of commuting to and from OHSU,  staying in Portland, hotel cost, food, gas, and his personal needs for the duration of his treatment and recovery. This Go Fund Me has been created to help cover these expenses.  That will allow Robert to concentrate his energy on recovery and not on logistics.
As you all know I am a very good friend of Robert and have been for the past 10 years. I will he helping Robert through his ordeal with cancer.
I have set up an checking account for Robert. Robert is the only one that  has access to the account. He has total control over the money.  No money will go to anyone but Robert. Robert will be using the very generously donated money while battling cancer and going through Chemo. If you have any questions feel free to contact Me or Robert directly.

I think it is has been best said by Robert himself, so I quote:


“This week, I was diagnosed with lung cancer. A large malignant tumor is residing in one of my lungs. The silver lining is that it does not appear to be in my lymph nodes.

 As with so many others, this disease has touched many people in life, both family and friends. As I prepare to do battle with this, those examples and their experiences will help buoy my resolve. I am grateful for the love and friendship that have been extended to me, and know that this will be a tough fight. I am not, however—ready for my time here to be over… so fight I will!”
