Hughes Ebinger the road to recovery

Fellow Sheriff's, family and friends describe Hughes Ebinger (a husband and parent of two daughters and two grandsons) who recently suffered a serious stroke - as a person who deeply cares about his community and fellow citizens.
While driving home from an event with his family on Saturday, October 14, 2017, Ebinger hit a curb, blew out a tire and lost control of his vehicle. This is when Ebinger's wife noticed that his speech was slurred, the right side of his mouth was slightly drooping and he was unable to move his right arm and leg.
Ebinger was taken, then admitted to Swedish Medical Center where it was confirmed that at age 49, Ebinger suffered a serious stroke caused by two blood clots on the left side of his brain.
Ebinger has since been transferred to an extended stay, intensive inpatient stroke treatment facility where he has begun intensive therapy and will remain there until he can be treated as an out-patient.
Ebinger has a long road ahead but with the love and support of his family and friends, anything is possible!
Ebinger grew up on the Island of Kauai and served his community by joining the police force and volunteering annually with the "Special Olympics". Ebinger is known to most as a very compassionate, charismatic man who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.
Ebinger is a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and sole provider for his family.
We are raising money to help defray some of the mounting medical, therapy and treatment bills. A donation in any amount is truly appreciated and will make a world of difference by helping alleviate some of Ebinger's worries and allow him to concentrate on his recovery.

Sudden TROUBLE WALKING, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
Sudden SEVERE HEADACHE with no known cause
If someone shows any of these symptoms, immediately call 9-1-1 or emergency medical services.
