Friends of Koh Rong

Friends of Koh Rong is an organisation that exists to primarily help improve the conditions of education for children on the island of Koh Rong in Cambodia. Our aim is to ensure that every child on the island is able to attend lessons where they are taught to speak English; to support their community and to grow up to be happy young people. We envision a world where all young people can grow up safe, happy and healthy, striving to create successful futures for themselves.
Friends of Koh Rong also works tirelessly to help the local communities on Koh Rong adapt to the tourism industry that is changing their way of life forever.
FoKR has already made a difference and continues its work everyday with:
• 156 students and growing.
• 8 English classes every day.
• 7 community led projects per year such as planting vegetables and fruits or providing medical care to the villages on the island.
• 238 beach cleans per year to try and minimise the water pollution.
Friends of Koh Rong has been and continues to make a difference to both the children and the adults on the island but we need your help. We are asking that you donate money to help us to continue to make an impact and to ensure that what we are doing can continue for years to come.
If you were able to donate:
$5 you will be providing a child with stationary for a year.
$10 you will be providing a child with art supplies for a year – can we have something more impactful here?
$25 you will be providing a child with books for a year.
$30 you will be providing all children with a month’s worth of medical supplies which could help save a life.
$100 you will be providing teachers with the resources they need to be able teach a class full of children for a year.
