Friends of Green Trails Montessori Daycare

Hello, I'm Shazia and since 2004 I have been a preschool instructor. The highlight of my day is getting up in the morning to meet my beautiful innocent little friends. Recently, on August 15th, our school was destroyed in a fire and we have lost all of our supplies, toys, furniture, and the space to operate.

For me, my school is more than just the walls, furniture, and toys; each item that I had gathered over the past 20 years had a tale, lovely memory, or both tied to it.

To reconstruct this for the 20 families that we serve I will need the assistance of my community. These families are having trouble finding daycare and so we are working very hard to find a new space to lease, supplies, furniture, and toys.

For young kids, losing their second home—where they felt so happy and at ease with their friends and teachers—was devastating.

We are asking for your financial support to begin rebuilding all of the supplies, toys, and furniture that was burnt in the fire. We did not have tenants' insurance and as such we are not in a position to immediately replace what was destroyed.

Our goal is to find a new space to lease and continue to support the 20+ families that we joyfully serve.
