We are a group of committed community members who live in close vicinity to Green Hill Provincial Park in Green Hill Nova Scotia. This park has a rich history, and in the past has attracted significant numbers of visitors from around the world because of its stunning scenery.
Green Hill Provincial Park has in generations past been the site of numerous community picnics and weddings, was home to a dance hall and a museum, and occupies a very important nostalgic space in our collective memory.
Our vision is to build a Pavilion which will attract a new generation of visitors to this sacred space. Work has already commenced as the site has been selected, our building permit has been obtained and concrete has been poured.
This work is being conducted with the full permission of the Dept. of Lands and Forestry, and is the first step of many in our vision to revitalize the Green Hill Provincial Park.
These funds will help us to complete the structure to increase activity in the park and to cement its place in the hearts of future generations.
