Friends of Ed Unthank Sr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of a wonderful friend; someone who was considered family by many. Charles (Ed) Unthank Sr. said goodbye in the early hours of December 29th after a short illness due to complications from COVID-19. January 1st was set to be a celebration of his retirement from Plumbing Works of Houston where he was employed for over 30 years. Ed was looking forward to his retirement and starting the second half of his life with his family. This was not supposed to be the end of his story. Instead of celebrating his many years of service we are morning the loss of our friend and coworker.  Our hearts go out to Linda and his family as they are now left with the task of figuring out how to proceed without him. We desire to lessen her financial burden through this GoFundMe as this is an expenditure so many are not prepared for. Ed was there for so many and we hope that we can be there for them during this time. May we provide calm during their storm.

While we are mourning the loss of our friend, we know others who cared for him are rejoicing and greeting him with open arms. Until we see you again, RIP dear friend.
