Our hardworking, engineer-in-training was walking home from the bus stop around midnight on February 28 when he was assaulted and robbed by 3 assailants. He was hit over the back, pistol-whipped in the face, and kicked repeatedly after being pushed to the ground.
The perpetrators stole Doug's phone, laptop, wallet, money, keys, engineering programming material, backpack, and other items.
As you all know Doug is a dedicated student who studies until late hours. We are raising money to replace his immediate belongings, cover the emergency medical expenses, and if we can, some to put towards an inexpensive but reliable vehicle.
In the photo for this campaign, Doug is in my office about 8 hours after being attacked. He was briefing me on thermodynamics and how it impacts downhole tools. He continues to be focused on school and being successful in engineering despite being attacked so violently, and our goal is to set him up with the tools he needs for continued success.
